Express Entry: Canada Invited 5,000 CEC Candidates to Apply for Permanent Residence
Post the decline in severity of the pandemic, Canada has been welcoming immigrants to apply for PR at a rapid pace. The vast country aims to achieve the immigration target, 2021-2023 Immigration Levels Plan.

In the latest express entry draw that was held on 18th March 2021, IRCC invited 5,000 Candidates belonging to the Canadian experience class (CEC) category to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
Basic Requirements
Candidates are required to be eligible Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
1-year full-time work experience in Canada
The CRS cutoff is 449
Intermediate level in language proficiency (English or French)
Candidates with the same CRS scores will come under the tie-break rule, which means a candidate who submitted their Express Entry profile before February 19, 2021, UTC, are given the preference.
Historic Feat
This is the first CEC-only draw in March 2021, while the previous draw was held last month on Feb 13th and a record-breaking 27,332 immigration candidates were selected.
The Feb-13th draw played a vital part in the rise of ITAs issued by IRCC in 2021, a total of 43,840 to date. At this time last year 2020, only 19,368 ITAs were issued
