Canada Implements Online System In Place Of In-person Interview For PR Process
Due to Covid 19, as a part of safety measures, the Canada government is implementing an online process in the place of face to face interviews to confirm permanent residence status, introduced a special online portal to process PR.
The online system will speed up the pr process reducing the the time
The PR applicants are required to submit the details to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) through this portal.
The new permanent residents have to declare that they are in Canada, and need to provide address details including a recent photo of them. As the photo is used for PR card, the candidate must follow the requirements stated. A bright and clear pic avoiding dark shades is needed.
Each candidate (applies for family members as well) must have their own profile, own username and password. Only candidates are allowed to access their portal, no one has authorisation to use the portal on behalf of the applicant.
A candidate will receive an email invitation from IRCC, after immigrantion application is approved. The invitation asks your approval for using portal
If the candidate accepts, IRCC will send the portal link and instructions on how to sign in with username and temporary password:(provided by IRCC)
Later, the candidate can change the password by signing in with temporary password provided
Submit all the required information through portal along with a latest photo that meets the requirements quoted by ircc
The PR portal was developed by Deloitte, one of the leading multinational companies across the globe, it's headquarters are in Canada.
